A short trip to Mexico City offered us all the inspiration we needed. Once returned, we MADE our own way… an off-beat location, bare brick walls, local artists, an eclectic playlist, A COSY KITCHEN and a verdant outdoor terrace.
The headline act? tacos. masa made daily; wafer-thin, spit-roasted pork with SWEET pineapple and chilLi; the GENTLE heat of salsa roja over steak with creamy queso fresco; caramelised halloumi amongst roasted, crispy and pink pickled onions; the catch of the week ON a herb salad WITH tartar sauce. And always, a healthy a squeeze of lime.
